President and CEO, James J. Scaffidi, founded ZyCal Bioceuticals, Inc. in 2006 following a three year working collaboration with medical advisors, scientists and business managers.  During this time, the collaborative team set out to leverage 40 years of scientific research and 20 years of clinical experience using Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMPs) to develop a platform of nutritional bone and joint supplements aimed at addressing the growing problem of osteoporosis and arthritis.  Mr. Scaffidi’s professional background includes 20 years of healthcare sales and marketing experience within the nutritional, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and orthopedic arenas, and holds a degree in biochemistry with several years of research in enzymology/ protein purification.

ZyCal Bioceuticals, Inc.'s Executive Management Team has broad management experience with a concentration in healthcare. The Management Team has brought strategic thought leadership to such companies as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Morgan Stanley, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Members of the Management Team have successfully launched start-up businesses prior to forming ZyCal Bioceuticals, Inc.
